Ten Awana Birthday bucks are given on the first meeting night of the month. Clubbers with birthdays in June, July, August, and September are given their bucks on the first meeting night in September.
To participate in Clubbers’ Surprise at the end of the night, Cubbies must complete the current chapter. All others must have had three Sections signed off by their Leaders that evening. Clubbers will get to do “something” to their leaders. In the past they have pied them, made one into a turkey and another into a snowman.
Commander’s Surprise means that the Commander will decide on how the night will be special. It is usually a special treat given at the end of the night. It could also be called “Grace Night” since the treat is totally unearned and available to all, just as our salvation is given to us by the grace of God and cannot be earned.
