Some History...
It is our mission to celebrate the love of Christ through Worship, Fellowship, and the Study of God's word, extending Love, Encouragement, and the Message of Christ to all, while providing opportunities for all to serve God. Founded in 1957, EBC Began sharing God's love in an area were there were few churches. Many people would travel the long country roads to Annapolis to worship or had no experience with God at all. FBCE First met in an old pub on Mayo road and began to bring hope and love to the local farmers and fisherman of South County. In the summer the beaches would swell providing even more opportunities to touch lives with the love of Christ. Today Edgewater is a very different community and so is First Baptist Church. Edgewater is now a bustling community filled with families who commute and are constantly on the go. Today's families have their own unique needs and face their own unique challenges. First Baptist has changed along with our community in order to continue touching, helping and healing the families around us with the love of Jesus. FBC is totally dependent on God the Father. We desire to make Christ the holistic center of our lives and to obey Him enthusiastically, so that He may develop us into wise Godly people who live by His word to effectively share the Love of Christ with the community around us.
